I am still giggling as I write this post from watching the commercial. In short, an American company has come up with the ‘Better Marriage Blanket’ made from the SAME CARBON FABRIC THE MILITARY USES TO PROTECT AGAINST CHEMICAL WEAPONS (I couldn’t make this stuff up, it’s that funny) to stop the odour of farts wafting through the blanket and disturbing your partner.

It’s genius! Pure genius! You can order it at their website BuyBetterMarriageBlanket.com. I think I need one. In fact, they recommend the blanket as a great wedding or engagement gift for couples! Why wasn’t one on my registry! And while we’re at it, can you make my husband a pair of jeans out of that stuff?

Love Plug: Hello You Fool, I Love You

I just saw these gorgeous prints featured in Shop Til You Drop while I was having a pedi (coral pink, thanks for asking) and immediately had to run home to Love Plug them for you guys!

Blacklist Studio, a tres chic Sydney art and design company is selling these great love-inspired prints that aren’t cheesy at all and that will brighten up any household with a sweet message. Go and get one especially for your sweetie and watch them smile every time they walk past.

I have just fallen in love with these cute-as-a-button Make-Out Mints… packaged in a sexy retro pink tin with embossed hearts on it, it’s the perfect product to keep you date night ready in a crisis. Tuck them into your handbag and freshen yourself up pre-date with the tiny pink heart-shaped mints inside.

Rove Interviews Tasma – Adorable!

Okay, so I’m a little behind the eight-ball on this one. I didn’t see the actual show (it was a couple of weeks ago) and my sister-in-law just told me how seriously cute Rove and Tasma were together on Rove’s show! (Ah, for our American audience, Rove is our favourite talk show host over here in Oz) I fell in love with the clip – I love seeing couples like this!
I love that she manages to make Rove blush the entire time. I love that they are still learning new things about each other. And I love that they do silly little voices and dances at home together. Because hell, don’t we all? Though I’d never have the guts to recreate it on national live television.

Government Gives Second Honeymoon for Troubled Couples

A Malaysian state government is taking it upon themselves to give assistance to troubled couples, encouraging them to work on their relationship rather than divorcing – by sending them on a second honeymoon and providing counseling.

(Source: AP) KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – A Malaysian state government says it plans to offer free honeymoons to save the marriages of couples who are on the brink of divorce.

Ashaari Idris, a government official in northern Terengganu state, says troubled couples will be allowed to spend two nights at the state’s scenic islands or beach resorts to help them rekindle their romance under a “Second Honeymoon” program.

Ashaari says the state government hopes to launch the plan soon “to resolve marital problems and to create models of exemplary families.”

He said that couples who enroll in the program must also undergo counseling.

I think it’s wonderful to see a government take proactive measures to let couples know that if they are experiencing relationship problems, they have help and support available. That the entire system is behind them and wants them to work it out.
